Computers and IT

The College owns about 1000 computers, which include over 100 available for use on a drop-in basis in the Student Learning Centres or College Library. A wide range of software is available, including word processing, desktop publishing, database, drawing, design and lots more, including a host of specialist software. Students can save their work on the network and access it from any other machine on the network. Files are backed up daily to keep data safe. There is also access to laser and colour printing and internet access on designated machines.
The College has available a range of AV services and resources, including interactive classroom and presentation equipment. USB memory sticks and similar items can be purchased from Reprographics at Deanfield.
Finally, the College has a dedicated and experienced IT Services Team who support and maintain all IT and Audio Visual equipment and operate a central helpdesk for all IT and AV requests and fault reporting.
Deanfield Student Learning Centre
Deanfield Student Learning Centre (DSLC) is situated on the top floor of D5. DSLC has computers for student use and a printer and is supervised at all times. To contact the centre call 01491 634126.

Rotherfield Student Learning Centre
Rotherfield Student Learning Centre (RSLC) is situated behind the Swanmaster statue in R301. RSLC has computers for student use and a printer and is supervised at all times. To contact the centre call 01491 634360.

You must have credit on your student ID card to print. Cards can be topped-up at Deanfield Reception, the College Shop or Rotherfield Student Learning Centre.
