"I studied Performing Arts at The Henley College in 2006-2008. My experience at the College was unforgettable and even now I remember my time there with fond memories.
When visiting the College for the first time, I knew straight away that I wanted to study there. The staff were very welcoming and I was impressed by the performing arts course.
A family friend recommended I visited the College and once I stepped into the performing arts centre, I was overwhelmed by the facilities and how much they had to offer for young inspiring performers like me.
From the age of five I said: “when I grow up I want to be a dancer”. It’s always been a dream of mine to perform.
I have so many wonderful memories, however my favourite has to be when I performed in the musical We Will Rock You; I still listen to that musical on a weekly basis.
The Henley College provided me with opportunities and experiences that I never imagined were possible when I first visited. It allowed me to explore different styles and techniques in dance, drama and singing, but most of all it gave me the confidence to take the next step into the performing arts industry.
I now have over ten years of teaching and performing experience. I am a fully qualified ISTD dance teacher. I also teach Musical Theatre, Pilates and I am a fitness instructor. I have performed professionally as a dancer and as an actress in both film, television and on stage.
My passion, hard work and love for musical theatre has lead me to where I am today. I am also very fortunate to have a family which has always supported me through my studies and my career.
I would like to continue to help other inspiring performers in any way I can: if that is to gain confidence, improve technique, encourage performance or to help guide that individual from my own personal experience and training I would be one happy teacher!
The advice I would give to any student is to make sure you study what you enjoy doing and what you are really passionate about; this is really important as life isn’t a rehearsal it’s a performance!"
