Education Award Winner Sam Earns a Promotion

Sam won the Business Education Award and picks up a promotion to Team Leader at Waitrose in Henley.

Congratulations to Sam Chapman who won the Level 3 Business Education Award and has also earned himself a promotion to Team Leader at Waitrose, off King’s Road in Henley, after a six month training programme.

Sam lives in Henley and formerly attended Gillotts School.

Sam works hard, often going above and beyond what is required, and completes his work to a high standard. He demonstrates empathy and maturity in the classroom and is well respected by his peers.

He said, “I normally work two days a week at Waitrose but I put in loads of extra time during the programme. I got interested in management and I was put forward to train to become a team leader, which I finished about three weeks ago.

I felt like I have achieved quite a lot and progressed quickly. The company appreciates talent and it was good to be recognised for that. I found it quite hard to balance it and had to pick up extra hours so I could learn more off different managers.

I had to complete coursework so it has been a juggling act for the last six months. I just put my head down and got through it."

Well done Sam! We are very proud of what you have achieved.
