We are incredibly proud to share that Pathways student Jared Isaac recently travelled to Poland to compete in The No Barriers Tournament with his team, the Ascot Warriors, part of Ascot United Football Club.
Jared has been training with the Ascot Warriors for just over a year, attending weekly sessions every Sunday. Earlier this month, he joined a squad of 12 players representing the UK in this international tournament, which welcomed teams from Spain, Italy, Ukraine, Croatia, and Poland.
Feedback from the event has been overwhelmingly positive. The Polish commentators were full of praise for the Ascot Warriors, highlighting the team’s famous British fighting spirit, sportsmanship, and resilience. They commended the players for always giving their all and playing with integrity and enthusiasm.
One Ascot Warriors player was even singled out for his exemplary conduct, always shaking hands and congratulating the opposition after goals were scored, described as “a true example of playing with no barriers between teams.”
The organisers expressed their delight at having Ascot Warriors participate, saying they would gladly welcome the team back “with open arms and open hearts.”
Everyone at The Henley College is immensely proud of Jared’s dedication, teamwork, and the way he represented his team on the international stage. Congratulations, Jared, on this fantastic achievement!
