Three Pathways students, Jared Isaac, Beth Roberts and Jess Kettell, have recently completed a fantastic six week work experience placement at Nuffield Place.

As part of the Pathways programme, students take part in a six week block of work experience, giving them the chance to try out three different roles. At Nuffield Place, Jared, Beth and Jess supported the team with meeting and greeting visitors, sharing stories about historical objects, and taking part in conservation work.

In their meet and greet roles, students welcomed visitors, registered membership cards and helped create a friendly and inviting atmosphere. They also enjoyed chatting to visitors about a specific object in the house, explaining what it was and the fascinating story behind it.

The conservation side of the placement gave them the opportunity to work alongside a member of Nuffield staff, learning how to care for and preserve historical items, which was a truly unique experience.

All three students said how much they enjoyed their time at Nuffield Place and how great it was to experience different parts of working life.

The Henley College would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Nuffield Place for giving our students such a warm welcome and an inspiring experience.
