The Henley College is proud to celebrate the exceptional achievements of its Class of 2025, with results that not only match but exceed national averages.
At A Level, 32.4 percent of grades were awarded at A star to B, with pass rates of 96 percent for A Level and 99 percent for Level 3 Vocational qualifications. An impressive 35 courses achieved a 100 percent pass rate, reflecting the dedication of both students and staff. With the national overall pass rate at 97.4 percent, Henley’s results reaffirm its reputation as a high achieving, academically ambitious college.
Five students secured places at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, while many others progressed to Russell Group universities, prestigious apprenticeships, and competitive careers.
Student Success Stories
Lola Bint-Savage (Reading) achieved A*AA in French, Graphic Communication and Maths, and will study Architecture at Girton College, University of Cambridge. She said:
“I am very relieved that all my efforts have paid off. I also feel very grateful to my wonderful teachers who supported me throughout my two years at Henley. I will always look back fondly at the Paris trip – it was exciting to experience outside the classroom what we had been learning in lessons.”
Jack Seymour, who formerly attended UTC Oxfordshire, achieved A*A*A*A* in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science, and is going to the University of Cambridge to study Computer Science. He said:
“Henley College supported me in achieving A*s in all four of my subjects, and I am thrilled that this will enable me to now go on to study Computer Science at Cambridge University. Jon Lagden was very supportive and flexible in allowing me to sit Maths a year early, and I really appreciated Andrea’s preparation support for the admissions test, and Joanna’s support with my Personal Statement and application.”
Alana King from Wokingham, achieved A*AA in Psychology, English Language and Maths, and will study Neuroscience and Psychology at King’s College London. She said:
“I really enjoyed my time at The Henley College and the flexibility it gave me to learn both in a class setting and independently. The support from my teachers has helped me achieve the grades I hoped for. I am looking forward to going to university!”
Wyatt Bullock from Stadhampton achieved D*D*D in the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services. A former student of Icknield Community College, Wyatt will begin training as an RAF Air Traffic Controller at RAF Cranwell.
He said:
"The friends and the teachers made it so fun, honestly. Probably the best memory would be the Wales trip in March. My advice? Have fun, get the grades, and find that balance.”
Madina Khan, formerly of Windsor Girls’ School achieved D*DD in the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services and will study Criminology at Cardiff Metropolitan University. She said: “Do everything to the fullest, don’t hold back.”
Luana Altarugio, from High Wycombe and a former student at Altwood School, achieved outstanding A Level results of A, A, A, and B in Media Studies, Art & Design, Sociology, and Spanish. She is going on to study International Social and Political Studies at University College London (UCL). Luana described The Henley College as a safe space to be yourself, make friends, and feel welcomed by teachers. She added:
“The Henley College teachers were supportive throughout my time here.”
Principal Simon Spearman, in his first year at The Henley College, said:
“These results are a testament to our students’ determination and ambition, as well as the tireless support from our teaching and support teams. Henley students continue to prove that with hard work, dedication and the right environment, remarkable things can be achieved.”
