Henley College Creative Media Students Capture Stunning Night Scenes in Henley

A group of 28 Creative Media students from The Henley College recently took to the streets of Henley for a spectacular night shoot. Focusing on street lamps, lighting objects, and creating film scenes with light and shadow, the students explored the dramatic potential of low-light film making in the town.

The night shoot is just one example of the unique opportunities available to students on the college’s Creative Media programme. Henley-on-Thames itself plays a central role in the experience. With its historic streets, riverside views, and beautiful locations, the town provides a creative canvas that few colleges can offer.

The Creative Media programme at The Henley College covers, film, video editing, radio, scriptwriting and more. Students learn in professional standard facilities including a state of the art recording studios, TV studios and mac suites, and are encouraged to develop their own creative voice, supported by expert guidance and the inspiring environment of Henley.

Sarah Wilson, Curriculum Leader for Creative Media Production, says: “Our students are encouraged to combine technical skill with imagination. Opportunities like the night shoot give them experiences that simply cannot be replicated elsewhere. We are proud of their creativity, dedication, and exceptional results.”

The college’s UAL Creative Media Vocational students excelled in 2025, with more than 47% achieving a DISTINCTION which is the same as 3 A* at A Level or 168 UCAS points.
