Principal Simon Spearman said,

"It was a great pleasure to celebrate the success of our students. Each student has shown commitment, perseverance and a passion for their subject. Our thanks to Vaibhav, from Vikaso, and to Dame Mary Berry, who joined us to celebrate our wonderful students."

Guests of honour included Councillor Tom Buckley, Mayor of Henley, and Vaibhav Boricha, Director of robotics company Vikaso, who gave a powerful and encouraging keynote speech. The ceremony was brought to a close by Dame Mary Berry, who spoke warmly to students about her own journey and the importance of following your passion.

"My advice to you is to follow your dreams. My dream was to teach food cookery, which was what I loved doing. So follow your dreams with passion, devotion, commitment and a little modesty,"

Award winner Rosie Wilga, who received the French Award, said,

"I feel very proud to have received the award for French as languages are something I am very passionate about. I have worked consistently hard throughout my time at Henley College and it's nice to have that recognised. I feel that I have grown a lot within the two years, both academically and socially – when I first started, I hardly spoke but by the end of second year I was participating actively in lessons. I have learnt a lot at Henley College and I'm looking forward to seeing where that takes me in the future."
