Aditya (pictured) is a T Level Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing student here at The Henley College, and his placement is at Evolito, a British aerospace company. Our T Level courses mean that you study at college four days a week and then have one day a week on placement. Evolito said that our T Level students have made an outstanding impact at the company:
"Over their time with us, the T Level students have made an outstanding contribution across multiple areas of the business, demonstrating curiosity, commitment, and an impressive willingness to learn. Through their hard work and enthusiasm, we have seen them grow enormously, both technically and professionally.
The students have gained hands‑on experience across Engineering Analysis, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Production, Stores & Logistics, and Test & Validation, giving them a rare insight into how an aerospace organisation operates. They applied their learning in practical and meaningful ways, including working on CAD projects, where they designed components such as production stands to securely hold parts in position, and even building their own speaker from concept through to completion.
They worked closely with engineering teams to support the commissioning of the D1700‑A Coil and Bar Process and the D1700‑A Rotor Stage 1 Process, contributing to critical milestones and gaining first‑hand exposure to real engineering challenges. Alongside this, they developed a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, including hand calculations and finite element analysis for beams and shafts, strengthening both their analytical skills and technical confidence.
Beyond engineering, the students were also exposed to the Marketing and People teams, enabling them to understand how business services functions support and enable the delivery of complex aerospace products. This broader perspective helped them appreciate how collaboration across disciplines is essential to achieving the end goal.
A particular highlight was the student's final presentation, where they confidently presented their experiences, key highlights, and learnings to a room of senior stakeholders. They communicated clearly, reflected thoughtfully on their development, and responded to questions with maturity and confidence, an excellent demonstration of how far they have come.
We are incredibly proud of everything our T Level students have achieved and delighted to have had them as part of the Evolito team. Their dedication, curiosity, and growth throughout their placement have been exceptional, and we are excited to see what they achieve next."
