Chloe, who studied at the college from 2017 to 2019, has gone on to build an impressive career as an Incident Crime Officer with Thames Valley Police. Her journey highlights how the skills and experiences gained during her time at college can shape a successful future.
During her studies, Chloe particularly enjoyed the lessons taught by Andrew Unsworth, whose teaching style left a lasting impression. One of her favourite memories was a trip to Wales, where she took part in camping, hiking, and rock climbing, an experience that combined adventure with teamwork and personal growth.
Chloe credits the college with helping her develop confidence and strong communication skills, both of which are essential in her current role. She also found that the knowledge she gained, particularly around the court system and the different emergency services, has proven invaluable in her career. Topics such as mental health and case file work have also directly supported her day-to-day responsibilities.
Reflecting on her time at college, Chloe encourages current students to make the most of every opportunity:
“Take every opportunity and make the most of it because it goes so quickly. Study hard—it’s only a couple of months.”
Chloe’s story is a great example of how dedication, enthusiasm, and making the most of college life can lead to a rewarding and impactful career.
