We are incredibly proud to celebrate with our second year, Level 3 IT students who, for the 4th year running, achieved a 100% pass rate in IT Systems as well as Cyber Security & Incident Management exams! Pictured below are some of our second year students who have achieved a distinction in one of these units.
Our applied IT course entails mandatory units looking at Programming, Social Media and Cyber Security. Optional units of study include Website Development, Games Development and Mobile App Development.
Geneva, who achieved a distinction in her BTEC Extended Diploma in IT, Unit 11: Cyber Security and Incident Management, said:
“The exams were challenging, but I felt prepared and confident going into them. I stayed consistent with my revision and kept a clear routine, which helped me manage the pressure. I would not have been able to achieve this without the support of my teacher Zedina.”
Ryan, who achieved a distinction in Applied IT, Unit 1: IT Systems, said:
“I found Unit 1 IT Systems to be a very enjoyable and interesting unit. The content of the unit was very useful in terms of solidifying my IT knowledge and has allowed me to implement the content itself into real-life practice. I’m very proud to have achieved a distinction in this exam, and I couldn’t have done it without the help from our IT teacher, Zedina. My final aim is to achieve a distinction in the final unit, website development, which would result in a distinction for the course overall. I would highly recommend choosing Applied IT as a subject to new students picking their post-16 options.”
Isaac, who achieved a distinction in Applied IT, Unit 1: IT Systems, said
“This unit was something different, and over the Christmas break, I committed to doing multiple past papers. These efforts, along with the support I received, enabled me to achieve a distinction in this particular unit. The unit and the overall course have been very enjoyable, so I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in computing-related subjects. I hope this won’t be my only distinction, as I wish to achieve it as my overall IT grade.”
Well done to everyone involved!
