Students and staff across both campuses at The Henley College came together to mark International Women’s Day 2026, celebrating the achievements of women and reflecting on the importance of equality, opportunity and collaboration.
This year’s global theme, “Give to Gain,” highlights the idea that when individuals and communities support one another, everyone benefits. Activities and discussions taking place across the College explored how generosity, allyship and collective action can help create more opportunities for women and girls.
Throughout the week, curriculum areas incorporated the theme into lessons, discussions and student-led activity. Students explored topics including women’s rights, representation, leadership and the progress made towards gender equality over the past century. International Women’s Day is particularly significant this year as 2026 marks 115 years since the first International Women’s Day in 1911, a milestone that continues to inspire reflection and action around the world.
Across both the Rotherfield and Deanfield campuses, students and staff also gathered for a series of photographs to show their support and solidarity. The images capture the vibrant and diverse community of The Henley College and highlight the many individuals who contribute to making the College an inclusive and supportive environment.
International Women’s Day reminds us to celebrate achievements, raise awareness of the challenges that remain, and continue working together towards a world that is free from bias, stereotypes and discrimination.
