This challenging course will encourage you to develop your mathematical skills, improve your ability to think logically and enable you to determine solutions to a wide range of problems.
You may be required to complete an activity before you start in order to help introduce you to the subject. Check back in the summer term for more details.
A Level mathematics is 2/3rd’s pure and 1/3rd applied mathematics, you will study areas including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, logarithms and exponentials, statistics and mechanics.
You are also encouraged to supplement your programme with the Extended Project.

Last year students went on to various destinations including university places at Cambridge, Bournemouth, Coventry, Kingston, Oxford Brookes, Cardiff, Southampton, Canterbury, York, Exeter, Swansea, Warwick, Reading, Keele and Leeds.
Alternatively, students may consider direct entry into employment or
further training.
