Kaya and Ryan have been selected for the English Schools Athletics Championships in Birmingham.

Congratulations to first year student Kaya Slater (above, centre) who has been selected to compete at the English Schools Athletics Championships in Birmingham, representing Oxfordshire in the 100m.

This will be her third time, having represented Berkshire for the last two years and being an 100m finalist last year.

Kaya is the current U17 Scottish National 100m Champion, U20 Scottish National 60m silver medallist and ranked 19th in the UK for 100m with 11.97 as an U20.

Kaya is studying English Language, English Literature and Media A levels.

Ryan Wells, (pictured right) has also been selected for the prestigious Championships. He has competed in the national U20 Champs and successfully qualified for the final, finishing an impressive eigth overall.

Ryan says, "I've currently achieved a best of 14.79s over the 110 hurdles and am ranked 13th in the UK."

As if that weren't enough, Ryan has also been selected for the upcoming Midland Schools Combined Events Champs for Oxfordshire, which will take place this weekend.

To achieve this alongside his A Level studies is truly impressive and testament to his hard work and dedication.
