Students from The Henley College explore New York City's Iconic Landmarks

Creative media students from The Henley College had an unforgettable trip to New York City, where they explored some of the most iconic landmarks and cultural institutions.

They started with a visit to the Museum of Moving Image, where they learned about the history of film and television and even got to create their own short films.

The group then went on a Radio City Behind the Scenes tour, where they were able to see the inner workings of one of the most famous theatres in the world. They also visited the Empire State Building and Rise NY, where they took in stunning views of the city from the top of the skyscraper.

The students learned about American history at Ellis Island and the Immigration museum, and had the chance to see the Statue of Liberty up close. They also walked across the Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise, taking in the breath-taking views of the city skyline and exploring the trendy neighbourhood of Brooklyn.

Other highlights of the trip included visiting Roosevelt Island, Wall Street, the 9/11 memorial, and China Town. The group also explored Greenwich Village and Washington Square, where they saw some of the buildings featured in Friends and Sex in the City. They even walked the Highline, a park built on an abandoned elevated train track.

The students took in the natural beauty of Central Park and even visited the Central Park Zoo, where they saw a wide range of animals from all around the world. Overall, the trip was a great success and students left New York City feeling inspired and very creative!
