This two year, full-time qualification is for students who wish to progress to working in the Sport and Fitness sector as personal trainers, or go on to higher education for further study. Developed in consultation with employers and industry professionals this course covers health and wellbeing, personal trainer skills development, nutrition for physical performance and business and technology in personal training.
The mandatory content allows students to develop technical skills for working with groups and individual clients in a health and fitness environment.

Students can progress to becoming a Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer, and can apply for membership of Chartered Institute of Management for Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) and Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) after successful completion of this qualification.
Students can also progress to higher education degree programmes.
