Extended Diploma Travel and Tourism students hold a Christmas themed event at local Lashbrook Care Home.
On Tuesday 6 December our Travel & Tourism students ran a fundraising event at the local Lashbrook Care Home as part of their Event Management Unit. Students organised afternoon tea, a quiz and a raffle for local residents in what is now becoming a regular event for Travel & Tourism students on our calendar.
This year, students decided to go ahead with a Christmas theme and all proceeds from the afternoon were donated to our local Sue Ryder hospice who have kindly donated prizes for the raffle. Louise Light, Head of Leisure & Lifestyle Enrichment at Lashbrook said: "The residents thoroughly enjoyed participating in the singing, the raffle, the delicious cakes and the quiz. All the students were also very thoughtful and interacted well with all our residents".
