In September 2022, The Henley College is offering T-Level in Health, and from September 2023, T-Levels in Engineering, Computing and Business.

T Levels are a brand-new qualification that mark a significant change in technical education. T Levels follow GCSEs, are equivalent to three A-Levels, and will become one of the main choices for student in Year 12 and Year 13, alongside A-levels and apprenticeships. They are a two-year qualification that bring together classroom-based learning and work placement, on a course designed in collaboration with employers. T Levels also carry UCAS points for progression into Higher Education.

Students will spend 80% of their time in the classroom and 20% on a 45-day industry placement, which will equip them with the knowledge, skills and professional competencies employers are looking for.

"I am delighted to confirm that The Henley College has successfully secured funding from the Department for Education to enable us to develop specialist facilities for the new T Level qualifications we will be offering from September 2022.

The first T Level to be offered by the College in September 2022 will be T Level Health, a 2-year programme during which students develop the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of health occupations. The College is now putting in to place plans to install a new mini-hospital ward and observation room, in preparation for start of the new qualification.

T Levels will help students to step straight into their chosen career, whether it’s an apprenticeship, a degree, or straight into the world of work. From September 2023, the College will be extending our offering to include T Levels in Engineering, IT and Business." - Eamonn Egan, Vice Principal of The Henley College.
