Five A level Chemistry students from The Henley College won awards in the annual Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. Over 7000 students from across the country entered the prestigious competition which is aimed at 1st year A level Chemistry students to stretch and challenge their skill and knowledge of the subject.
Henley students Claudia Parker and Matthew Biggs not only achieved Gold Awards, but were also placed in the top 10% of all students who took part in the competition. The remaining three students from the College also achieved excellent results with Reuben Rose getting a Silver Award and Archie Wilson and Therese Elnar both receiving Copper Awards.
The students' teacher, Colin Suttie, said: "Over the years I've only had 2 or 3 students achieve Gold Awards in this very tough and challenging competition, so to have five students do so brilliantly in one year is fantastic. I am very chuffed!"
