First year Geography students survey the River Pang in Pangbourne.

First year Geography students were busy learning new skills on how to test hydrology in the River Pang, located in Pangbourne, West Berkshire. Students learnt how to measure a river’s width, depth, velocity and other information about the hydrology of the Pang.
Hydrology is the science that encompasses the occurrence, distribution, movement and properties of the waters of the earth and their relationship with the environment. Students will analyse their results once back in the class room.
