Staff Member Talks Toad Patrol on BBC Radio Berkshire

Student Attendance Officer, Milly, featured on BBC Radio Berkshire's 'Hang 10' hour promoting Team Henley Toad Patrol.

Our very own Student Attendance Officer, Milly, featured on BBC Radio Berkshire's 'Hang 10' hour  promoting Team Henley Toad Patrol which she's been involved with for the past five years.

"Every year during the Spring, a group of volunteers put up a long barrier in the woods on the Henley to Marlow road to stop toads who are migrating from the woods to the pond to spawn. We pick them up at the barrier and carry them in buckets so they don't have to cross the busy road. They travel at night when it's safer for them. Toad patrol goes on for around two months of the year."

Volunteers have to be 18+. If you're interested, feel free to speak to Milly about becoming a Toad Patroller or email aken@henleycol.ac.uk.
