Find out more about our new Photography and Music Mac Suites
This year, we opened two more new Mac Suites, specifically for our A Level Photography and Music Performance and Production Level 3 students.
Alongside our existing Creative Media Mac Suite, these Apple Mac computers allow our students to use the most relevant technology and software for their courses, and helps prepare them for their future careers.
Current A Level Photography student John (pictured) uses the Mac Suite to edit his coursework using Photoshop. Speaking about the computers he said: "They're really easy and quick to use. Compared to the old computers the screen is bigger and you can access the apps better, so its more efficient."
Music Performance and Production students have been using Logic Pro software in their dedicated Mac Suite, and recently used the suite to take part in a workshop to create a new track with rising R&B stars, Fika.
Speaking about the workshop and the software, Music student Joe said: "One aspect of the workshop I found particularly useful was editing and arranging all the different tracks in Logic [...] the advice that Fika gave opened my eyes to new possibilities."
By being able to use this technology during their studies, students will be ready to take their first steps in their chosen industries when they leave college, with great confidence and knowledge.
