Music Technology students gain insight into future career options

Nino Auricchio with first year Music Technology class

In January first year A Level Music Technology students were treated to two guest lecture sessions. Freelance Live Sound Engineer Chris Davidson, is currently working and is on tour as the Front of House Sound Engineer for the music pop group, The Vamps. Chris discussed with the students about how to successfully carve a career in being a Live Sound Engineer and what it takes to work in Live Sound.

The second guest lecture was Nino Auricchio, who teaches undergraduate degree students at UWL in London. He came in to talk about Analogue and Modular Synthesis whilst also explaining about the course he runs at UWL for any A level students who want to pursue a more technical path into Music Technology.

You can find out more about the course Nino runs by visiting: http://www.uwl.ac.uk/academic-schools/computing/subject-areas-and-courses/applied-sound-engineering
