Thank you to all the staff, tutor groups and individuals who recently donated money to the Library Christmas Appeal, supporting Oxfam’s festive fundraiser ‘Send a Cow’.
This year’s campaign helps African farmers out of poverty by providing them with livestock and equipment to build a better life.
The final amount raised was £280 that will be donated to pay for:
- 4 pairs of rabbits (perfect for a farmer with a small plot of land)
- 7 clean latrines (key to improving a family’s health and hygiene
- 7 keyhole gardens (helping families grow enough food for three meals a day)
This latest achievement follows other successful fundraising appeals for Oxfam including the ‘Send a Goat’ and ‘Send a Chicken’ campaigns.
