Congratulations to Emily Eyre who has been offered a dance place at Trinity Laban, London.
Second year A Level student, Emily Eyre, has been accepted onto Trinity Laban’s prestious dance programme. 17 year old Emily is studying Dance, English Language and Literature and Psychology A Levels at The Henley College and lives in High Wycombe.
Trinity Laban's ever-evolving Degree and Masters programmes are designed to meet the needs of contemporary dance professionals and artists, deepen your understanding of contemporary dance, extend your technical abilities and increase your creative skills to succeed in the competitive world of dance. Auditions are renowned for being quite difficult and Emily said this about her experience: "The audition process is very tough, which I don’t think I was fully aware of when I auditioned. I tried to stand out and show the audition panel something they hadn’t seen 100 times already. It defiantly wasn’t easy trying to perform to your best with a panel of judges sitting in front of you and so many amazing dancers around you.".
Emily will finish her A Levels in July 2017 and then go on to Trinity Laban for 3 years before going onto dance professionally. The course will allow students to focus on dance all day, every day, allowing students to develop techniques, performances, styles, choreography, contact work and group work.
We asked Emily how she felt about being offered a place at Trinity Laban: "It was a bit of a shock! I really didn’t expect it. It was a relief that the work I have put into dance for 9 years has paid off! Now I just cannot wait to dance every day, doing what I love, and have always wanted to do".
