Important information about returning to College

Take a test before coming to College, face masks are to be worn at all times, plus information on exams

Welcome Back to The Henley College to all our students, staff and visitors, and Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you are well rested, had fun and that you are super-energised for the term ahead!

The Henley College is looking forward to your return this week.

You may have seen on the news that the government made an announcement regarding the wearing of face coverings in all education settings. In addition to this, there are a number of other requirements and updates regarding the reopening of the College you need to be aware of to ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible.

1. Before returning to College, please carry out a lateral flow test to confirm you do not have COVID.

2. Testing with Lateral Flow Tests will take place in R313 (Rotherfield) during student tutorial time. For the first tutorial session, students are required to go to R313, for a Lateral flow Test. The lateral flow test is recommended, but not mandatory.

3. When in College you will be required to wear a face covering at all times until further notice. If you are medically exempt, you must wear the corresponding lanyard.

4. All exams planned for January will still take place and you are required to attend to pass your course.

5. All lessons will continue to be face to face. If lessons need to be moved online, you will be notified.

6. We recommend carrying out a lateral flow test at least twice per week. Test kits can be picked up from both reception areas (Rotherfield and Deanfield)

7. If you feel unwell prior to coming to College, please do not come in. Take a lateral flow test and notify the College of your absence via your Faculty Administrator.

8. Please notify us immediately if you test positive for COVID via a lateral flow or PCR test. Parents/ guardians are to call the relevant Faculty Administrator and provide evidence of the PCR notification for this to be an authorised absence.

By following all these points, you will help to keep the College as safe as possible. We look forward to seeing you back in College to successfully complete your course.
