Head of Talent & Performance talks to Business Students

Denise Cording, Head of Talent and Performance at NHS Property Services, came in to talk to Business students about her role and all about the NHSPS.

She also covered why HR teams are needed, the sort of work they deal with and the huge breadth of opportunity available within HR.

Denise reflected, “It was great to spend time with the students and share my experiences about working in HR and also the kinds of career paths that are available’.  I wish them all the best with their studies”

Student Grace said “I thought Denise’s presentation gave a really broad insight into the HR department. I was interested to find out about how many different teams there are within HR and how companies can encourage employees to trial different careers within the same company. The presentation has furthered my interest in pursuing a career in HR.”

Teacher of Accounting & Business Sophie Walters commented “Denise's talk really brought the Business A-level curriculum to life: she described lots of the challenges that businesses face because of external influences, and how the HR or People functions are responding to these. Her knowledge, experience, and charisma made for a very interesting and useful presentation for me as well as my students.”
