Geological Society Lecture at The Henley College

The Henley College were delighted to host a meeting of the Thames Valley Geological Society.  Dr Bethan Davies (Royal Holloway) spoke to 40 Society members about her research into the last British ice sheet and how results are increasingly being used as an analogue for rapid ice sheet change in West Antartica.

This event was organised by teacher Marco Azevedo who noted that this event offered a unique opportunity for our students to network with a wide range of professionals working in Earth Sciences.

Tom Hubbard is studying A Level Geography at College and said that he particularly appreciated Dr Davies sharing details of her global research into glaciation, a topic that he is covering at A Level.
