We asked her some questions about her time at The Henley College:

What was your first impression of The Henley College?
The Henley College was incredibly welcoming, and provided a lot of opportunities to explore my
subject from the beginning.

Why did you choose to come here? What helped make up your mind?
I chose The Henley College as it had a course that I couldn’t find at my secondary school,
alongside exciting facilities that were open for us to use when working on our projects and
assignments.

What is your best memory of your time at The Henley College and why?
My favourite memory was probably when we were all working on our final projects, as
everyone was working on something unique and we could share our experiences with each
other as they progressed.

Did you always want to do what you are doing now?
I have moved over into theatre now, but I have always wanted to do something creative,
and The Henley College gave me the opportunity to explore a range of mediums and find something
that I could be passionate about.

What has influenced your decisions about the subjects you have studied and the career
path you have chosen?
I chose the subject I did as I knew I wanted to do something creative. I’m not a massively
academic person, so I went down the more practical route so that I could experiment and
figure out what kind of thing I wanted to produce in the future. It was definitely worthwhile as
I wouldn’t be where I am without that opportunity.

What are your ambitions for the future?
I want to continue working in theatre, and hopefully direct another musical!

What do you think The Henley College did for you – aside from the qualifications you
gained?
The Henley College gave me the skills I needed to move forward with my creative projects. It
taught me how to trust my ideas, and how to develop them with confidence, taking them
from an idea to a finished product.

If you had one piece of advice for a 15-16 year old thinking about their future, what
would it be?
Don’t settle for your original plan! You can change your mind about what you want to do,
and find what makes you happiest.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
The Henley College has so many different opportunities and routes you can take! It’s a great
place to study
