Figures released by the Sixth Form Colleges Association show students from The Henley College are more likely to achieve a First Class degree than those who have attended other sixth form colleges or state sector 16-19 institutions.
82% of our students finish university with a 2:1 or better, with 30% of those students achieving a First Class degree. This is in comparison to 79% of students in the Sixth Form sector achieving a 2:1 or above (with 28% of those students gaining a First).
90% of our students who go to Russell Group universities receive a 2:1 or above, compared to 88% of students from both the Sixth Form and State Sectors.
Satwant Deol, Principal of The Henley College, has welcomed the figures. “We know The Henley College is a great place to learn,” she said. “We are very proud of our academic achievements and the way students develop through the many enrichment opportunities they have at college. These figures show how the excellent grounding we offer can really help our students to achieve when they get to university.”
The figures released by Sixth Form Colleges Association relate to degree classifications obtained by students at UK universities in the 2018/19 academic year.
