Classics Education Award Winner Finn Achieves Superb Results

Finn Bint-Savage has achieved incredible results including two A*s in English Language & Literature and Extended Project, two A’s in French and Classical Civilisation as well as a Distinction in Applied Psychology.

Finn comments “I feel over the moon and relieved about my results! My next step will be going to study Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at Oxford.

We spoke to her about winning the Education Award and her time at The Henley College.

How do you feel about winning this special Education Award?  

I am pleased to have won an award in a subject I loved studying so much.

What attracted you to study at The Henley College?

The wide range of subjects available, the flexibility and freedom.

What have you enjoyed most about life as a student at Henley?

The social aspect of college.

What have you enjoyed most about your chosen subject(s)?

The chance to explore subjects (like classics & psychology) I'd never studied before. My subjects were all interlinked somehow which helped make new connections.

How do you feel the College has supported you with your studies and/or personally?

Amazing teachers who always go above and beyond, and really enjoyable lessons

What is your best memory of your time at The Henley College?

When we brought homemade food into our French lesson when we were learning about cooking culture .

What do you feel has been your greatest achievement whilst at the College?

Finishing exams despite all the Covid interruptions.

Do you feel The Henley College has helped you to positively work towards your future goals?

Yes - has given me a new sense of independence & confidence that I didn't have at secondary school

Would you recommend The Henley College to other students?

Yes! It's a great environment and the best choice I made. My tutor Jess was so supportive throughout my two years and I enjoyed her enrichment sessions.
