Tammy Morris-Puttock is currently in her second year of studying Public Services Extended Diploma Level 3 at The Henley College. She plans on going to university to study Policing and Criminology.
We asked Tammy why she chose the College and what she loves about her course.
“I chose to come to The Henley College as it offered courses in Public Services. While looking at the College I looked at the reviews of my chosen course as well as pictures from the course trip that takes place during the first year.
I find studying Public Services extremely interesting as it has allowed me to gain more knowledge around what the public services do and how they deal with certain situations.
A highlight of my time on the course was the first-year trip to Wales as we got to experience a lot of different activities while being surrounded by friends and having fun. My best memory is sitting around the campfire and talking after our expedition.
Many decisions influenced the path that I have chosen to go down from personal experience to my time as a cadet as well as work experience.
I chose to study Public Services as I have always been interested in helping others which I hope to be able to do within my future career. After college I have chosen to go on and study Policing and Criminology, as it is what interests me and what I want to expand my knowledge.

My advice to a 15–16 year-old thinking about their future would be to pick a subject that interests you greatly as it is what shapes your future as well as staying focused and on top of work as it allows you to get the best out of what you are studying.”
