With 24 A Level subjects gaining a 100% pass rate, The Henley College students have much to celebrate following all their hard work and the release of their much awaited A Level results.
A Level students achieved an overall 98% pass rate across all subjects, with 73% of these at grade A*-C.
Photography deserves a special mention with an amazing 20 students achieving A* grade and over 85% of students achieving A*-B grades.
15 further subjects achieved over 80% A*-C grades including Ancient History, Dance, English Literature, Extended Project, Environmental Studies, Film Studies, French, Geology, German, Further Mathematics, Maths (Mechanics), Philosophy, PE, Sociology and Textiles.
The College has also seen its outstanding record of vocational results continue with 28% of Extended Diploma students gaining triple D* (equivalent to 3 A Levels at A*) and a 96% pass rate, with some results still to come in. The BTEC Extended Diploma in Tourism was particularly successful with a 100% pass rate and almost half the students (47%) achieving a D*D*D* grade. An impressive 37% of UAL (University of Arts, London) students achieved a triple Distinction, the highest possible grade; the overall pass rate on UAL courses (Creative Media and Art) was over 98%.
Principal, Satwant Deol, commented: “We are absolutely delighted with our students’ results, particularly as they are mostly completing the new and more difficult linear (two year) A Level examinations. I would like to thank all our staff for their professionalism and dedication in teaching, guiding and supporting our students to achieve these excellent results.
