Call of the Wild

Our Public Service students embarked on their four day activity trip to Brecon, Wales.

During the trip students developed valuable teamwork and leadership skills in activities such as the night hike, expedition and then had to help their team set up camp and cook food on Monday night. Other activities including Rock Climbing, Gorge Walking, Archery and Caving tested students discipline, resolve and positive thinking in overcoming fears.

Beth Eales, 1st year Public Service student said -  “This trip has shown that I am a lot more confident of joining in with activities and meeting new people. I recommend it to everyone and as soon as I came home I wanted to go back to Wales!"

Damon McGourty, also 1st year Public Service student enjoyed the new challenges this trip created - “My favourite part of the trip was working with new people and motivating everyone to achieve their best when completing challenging tasks”
