Former Business student Bradley Cottington made a welcome return to college to speak to over 60 business and engineering students about his career path since leaving Henley in 2017.
Bradley now works in Business Development for UK & Ireland for Navvis, a mobile mapping company who enables service providers and enterprises to capture and share the built environment as photorealistic digital twins.
Whilst at college Bradley studied Business Extended Diploma Level 3 and achieved D*D*D* (which is equivalent to 3 A*s at A Level). He has always been hard-working and dedicated to his end goal, which is owning his own business.
Having such a clear objective has been beneficial to Bradley’s progression as he can identify clearly what steps he needs to take to accomplish each stage of his career path. By asking himself “what is the best pathway for me right now?” when he’d finished his GCSEs, and then again when he’d finished College and University, Bradley has been able to remain focused.
After leaving Henley, Bradley went on to the University of Bournemouth to take a sandwich course in BA Business Studies with Enterprise & Placement. His one-year placement was with Lloyds Bank and during his studies he took part in lots of extra-curricular activities, including, completing a CMI Diploma in Management and Marketing, Bournemouth University Barracudas Esports Society and Games Society, and standing as Business Course Rep in his second year. He also became Treasury Executive for the Bournemouth University Business Society.
Bradley is passionate about driving change for good and is excited by how his current role at Navvis is bringing new technology into the architecture industry.

2.Don’t react, instead respond and stay patient
3.Be proactive and engage in conversation
4.Travel if possible, to broaden your knowledge and understanding of the world

7.Riches in Niches - choosing a business sector that is more niche means that there is potentially more room for opportunity and growth
He stressed to students that they should take advantage of the opportunities that are available now to help them achieve their goals in the future.
