Combining the development of professional, personal and social skills with theoretical knowledge, this course covers subject areas such as customer service in sport and physical activity, assisting sports coaching, fitness induction and testing, and using fitness equipment. Developed in consultation with employers and industry specialists, this course will prepare students for further study, apprenticeships or the workplace.

This course has been developed in consultation with employers and industry specialists. The content is up to date, engaging and fit for purpose, to ensure students have the skills, knowledge and understanding of sport, physical activity and the related industry required for the 21st century.
Centre assessed units with practical and wider project-based assessment opportunities, as well as examined units are included. Students will practically apply their skills and knowledge in preparation for further study, an apprenticeship or the workplace, whilst developing professional, personal and social skills through interaction with peers, stakeholders and clients, as well as theoretical knowledge and understanding to underpin these skills.
All units will support the transferable skills required by employers such as communication, problem solving, time management, research and analytical skills.
