Course Overview

Providing an introduction to the world of business, this vocational course has proved both a popular and successful route for students who have not achieved enough points at GCSE for entry onto one of our Level 3 courses.

You will be assessed continuously through coursework and assignments, together with an external exam in one of the units covered. Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines are vitally important to be successful. In addition, you will be able to complete Functional Skills qualifications, or retake GCSEs in Maths and/or English. This will be discussed at the enrolment process.

English 3, Maths 3 and at least 3 other 3s

Exam board: BTEC (Business)

Successful completion will enable you to progress into employment and supplement your existing GCSE qualifications. Students may consider direct entry into related employment, Apprenticeships or further training after completing this course.

Further studies or higher education

Gaining at least merit grades can provide you with access to a range of Vocational Diploma courses, including Business, Travel and Tourism or other subjects within the College.
