Pathways student learning to cook

Overview

The Supported Internship Programme is a partnership between The Henley College and Oxfordshire Employment Services (OES).  It is aimed at giving young people aged between 16-24 who have an Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP), the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, which could lead to future employment or voluntary work.

This course centres on work placement 2 or 3 days per week (students will need to travel to their work placement each day).  During your studies you will also continue to improve your Maths, English and Employability skills at college 1 day a week.

Assessment:

You will be assessed through your practical achievements in your work placement, through completion of your weekly reflective diary, termly updates of your CV, functional Skills will be assessed though exams, with access arrangements available, subject to assessment.

Duration: 1 Year
Entry requirements:

All students must have an EHCP and working at Entry level in English and Maths. All applicants are assessed prior to entry to ensure they are enrolled on the most appropriate level and course.
