Students celebrate top results
With 26 subjects gaining a 100% pass rate, Henley College students have much to celebrate today following the release of their highly anticipated A Level results.
New figures released by the Sixth Form Colleges Association show students from The Henley College are more likely to achieve a First Class degree than those who have attended other 16-19 institutions.
More than 84% finish university with a 2:1 or better. More than a quarter achieve a First, putting the college well ahead of the average for all Sixth Form Colleges, and both State and Independent school sixth forms. And the figures are even better for The Henley College students who go to Russell Group universities. Nearly 90% achieve a 2:1 or higher. Just under 30% graduate with a First.
A Level pass rates continue to be high, in 2016 over 98% with high grades showing an improvement of nearly 3% on last year. Overall three quarters of A Level grades were at A*-C. A remarkable 30 different A Level subjects achieved 100% pass rates.
The College has also seen its outstanding record of BTEC results continue to improve with more than 80% achieving the highest grades.
