Vocational students deliver top results again

The College has seen its outstanding record of vocational results continue this year with almost a third of Extended Diploma students gaining triple D* (equivalent to 3 A Levels at A*) and a 96% pass rate.

The College has seen its outstanding record of vocational results continue this year with 28% of Extended Diploma students gaining triple D* (equivalent to 3 A Levels at A*) and a 96% pass rate, with some results still to come in.

The College offers a broad range of high-achieving vocational courses in areas such as Engineering, Business, Forensic Science, Performing Arts and Health and Social Care.

The BTEC Extended Diploma in Tourism was particularly successful with a 100% pass rate and almost half the students (47%) achieving a D*D*D* grade.

An impressive 37% of UAL (University of Arts, London) students achieved a triple Distinction, the highest possible grade; the overall pass rate on UAL courses (Creative Media and Art) was over 98%.

Our vocational students have secured a range of excellent higher education places at universities such as Manchester, Bournemouth, Brighton, Portsmouth, Exeter, Nottingham, Newcastle and Southampton.

There have been some equally impressive apprenticeships gained with Engineering students securing opportunities with GSK, Rolls Royce (aero engines) and the Army (avionics).

Bea Barefield achieved an incredible D*D*D* in Extended Diploma in Social Studies and has secured her place at Bucks New Uni to study Police Studies with Criminal Investigation.
Harry Salsbury (pictured) has achieved a D*D*D* in Extended Diploma in Social Studies and has secured his place at Cardiff University to study Media and Journalism. Harry also took the Elite Sports Programme in Rugby.
