Travel and Tourism students present to over 100

Travel and Tourism students presented to an audience of over 100 people last night at our Rotherfield campus.

Their presentation communicated details of a planned trip to Berlin in March for Economics, Politics, Travel and Tourism and Business students. They also produced professional documents and practised communication and presenting skills. These form part of BTEC units they are studying: ‘Customer Service’ and ‘Planning a Residential’.

The students did really well and spoke with poise and confidence.

Students Cassie Ilsley, Emma Fowle and Ellie Geddes said ‘As a group we took on a big task, but we came together and enjoyed performing to both parents and students at the trip meeting last night. We now look forward to our well prepared trip to Berlin in March’

Travel and Tourism Programme Leader Hannah McPhee added, ‘I am very proud of how hard all of the students worked towards the planning of the trip. They all did individual research in preparation for the meeting and came across as very confident when they delivered their presentation. The brochure produced is outstanding as is the PowerPoint that they delivered. I am confident that with this excellent preparation the trip will be a great success’
