The Addams Family

Each year, students are invited to become part of The Henley College Theatre Company who perform in a production each December. These productions are an important event in the College calendar and always showcase an incredible range of performing talent across the student community.

The Addams Family is this year’s show, about the endearingly weird and wonderful family, featuring well known characters such as Uncle Fester, Wednesday and Morticia.

Auditions are open to all students interested in acting, singing, dancing or assisting with tech. You do not need to be studying Performing Arts subjects to audition. Auditions will be held on Wednesday 13th September from 1.00pm. Interested musicians should make themselves known to Music teacher Adam Stangroom: ASTA@henleycol.ac.uk.

Auditioning for a lead role: You need to prepare a song and sing it in character, preferably a solo from the musical. If you choose a song from elsewhere, it needs to showcase your uppermost and lowest ranges. You must also prepare a monologue, either from the show, or from a character that is similar to the role you wish to audition for.

Auditioning for chorus: Your dance potential will be assessed and we also ask you to prepare a song, as above.

Joining the Tech team: You will be invited to a conversation with the Performing Arts Technician to discuss your previous experience and possible roles to support the show.
