Success for former student with local Law firm

Former Henley College and University of Reading Student Enjoying Training Contract

Sophie gained A*AA in her A Levels at the College in 2013, before going on to study Law at the University of Reading where she gained a 2:1. Sophie was previously a pupil at Langtree School in Woodcote.

Sophie is mid-way through her first seat in the firm’s Probate, Tax & Trusts team, with trainee solicitors completing a total of four seats over a two year period before qualifying.

She said: “Knowing the town well and having spent two years at Henley College, it’s nice to spend time working alongside (senior solicitor) Louise Nelson and other colleagues at Blandy & Blandy’s Henley office.”

“I applied for a training contract at Blandy & Blandy because of its fantastic reputation in the area and diverse range of work. The staff have been enormously welcoming and supportive and I have been encouraged to get hands on from an early stage. I am certain that by training at Blandy & Blandy I will be very well set up for my future career as a solicitor.”

Caroline Casagranda, a partner in the team, added: “Sophie has settled well into the firm over the last four months. She is a hardworking and enthusiastic team member who is always willing to help whenever required.”
