On Monday 12 December Extended Diploma Public Service/Social Studies attended an inspiring talk from Clayton Lavallin and Vicky Taylor, from Oxfam. Students and staff learnt about Oxfam's local and international campaigns on poverty and the gender pay gap.

Clayton and Vicky have been involved in creating and working on campaigns within the charity and Public Service/Social Studies teacher Andrew Unsworth said:  "What students did like was the people who were presenting the lecture giving examples and talking about “real” experiences and the projects they had been involved with".

Students were able to take away different handouts and activities to look into the UK Poverty Programme in more depth.
