ICMP Guest Lecture

ICMP visit May 2017

RSL Music Practitioner students were treated with a visit from Helena Tipper and James Brister from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance on Tuesday 9 May.  This was a follow up visit from an earlier Educational Visit to their premises in London in January, where students were given a tour of the facilities there and were given a guest lecture on using Ableton Live.

James came in to the College to talk to students about how to promote themselves with their music and understand how the current music industry works today around the increasing popularity of new media and social networking sites for music.  This was a highly informative talk and beneficial for their course as RSL students are currently working on assignment briefs that explore this particular study of record industry practice.

Many thanks to both Helena and James for taking time out of their busy schedules to offer this opportunity for our vocational music students studying here at The Henley College.
