Home School to The Henley College

Jemimah Newman-Smith, from Beaconsfield, achieved a Distinction in Creative Media Production this year.

Jemimah is currently doing a gap year before attending Liverpool John Moores University to do Media Production next year.

She said about her time at Henley College- "After being home-educated my whole life, I didn’t know how I was going to fit in at Henley and how I'd adapt to this different lifestyle. I originally applied to do A Levels but I changed my mind and decided to apply for Creative Media Production, this was the best decision I could’ve made. Creative Media has been absolutely amazing! I’ve learnt so much and gained skills in the field of interest (Cinematography). I feel I’m more prepared to create my own works as well as edit them and present them to a near professional level. But I couldn’t have done it without the help of the teachers. They’ve been so brilliant and taught me so much more than I thought I would from this course. The Henley College has such an amazing environment and I always felt happy to be there and supported. I’ve grown so much as a person and have become more confident in myself and my life choices since coming to the College. I am so glad I made the choice to join!"
