Former Student returns to talk about International Placement Year

Adrian, former Henley College student, came to speak to our Politics and Languages students about his University Placement year abroad.

Adrian, who gained 3 A grades in A levels French, Politics and History from The Henley College in 2016, went on to the University of Bath to study a BA (Hons) Modern languages (French and Ab initio Russian) & European Studies.

He is currently in the 3rd year of his 4 year course which entails a year out abroad. He is currently working in Paris in a real estate agency and has had adventures in Bordeux, Avignon, Strasburg and Estonia. His experiences included seeing President Macron and the atmosphere during the World Cup Final!

Adrian fondly remembers his teachers Julian Pandya, Robin Milne and Stephanie DuJardin-Viney and said “I really enjoyed my time at The Henley College. I particularly appreciated the independence - being treated like an adult really engaged my learning better than in a school environment. I made lots of friends, enjoyed my course and got on well with my teachers. It really was better than I’d anticipated.”

His former Politics teacher Julian said “It is no surprise to hear that Adrian is doing so well. He always came to class fully prepared and inquisitive. I have no doubt that he will excel in his studies and future career”
