Henley College Dance students have enjoyed workshops delivered by leading dance professionals.
Award-winning choreographer and dancer from Wales, Gwyn Emberton, returned to the College for the third year running to teach an Akram Khan Indian dance inspired workshop. Students learned choreographic sections from Akram Khan’s piece Rush (2000) in which Emberton performed. A Level dance students who are studying Khan and his works as part of their course found the workshop insightful and very valuable towards their future studies.
Students were also given the chance to work with up-and-coming Physical Theatre/ comedy dance company The Hiccup Project. Students thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and the company's very innovative approaches to creating work.
