Students compete in Chemistry Olympiad
Congratulations to 2nd year A-level chemistry students Romily Hryczanek, Stephanie Batten and Daniel Johnstone who competed in this year's annual Chemistry Olympiad. The Royal Society of Chemistry offers an opportunity for post-16 Chemistry students to test their chemical knowledge.
Teacher Colin Suttie said “They did extremely well to get the certificates. It is an extremely tough test; nationally 40% of all entrants don’t even get a certificate so it really demonstrates a deep and thorough knowledge of the subject. My fellow teacher Andy Sutton and I are very proud of their achievement and hope that this success will inspire other Chemistry students to enter the Olympiad next year.”
