First year BTEC Business students tour Vodafone Headquarters in Newbury.
First year vocational Business students enjoyed a visit to Vodafone Headquarters in Newbury this month. The group were treated to a tour of the facilities for employees which included a company gym, hairdressers and restaurant and they learned about how this global organisation values its workforce and considers it to play a critical role in future success.
Megan Hunt, Head of HR and Reward discussed the Vodafone workforce of the future, known internally as “The Millennials”, and explained to our students how implementing strategies such as homeworking, career development and supporting staff with achieving work/life balance played an important role in maintaining an effective workforce. This event gave our students the opportunity to find out more about HR management and use this example in their assignment work.
